Tutoring Terms and Agreement, Refund Policy and Student Requirements:
CANCELLATION OF LESSONS BY CLIENT/STUDENT
The Client/Student may cancel tuition/lessons by giving at least 24 hours prior notice to the Tutor in which case 1/2 of the Paid Tuition will be incurred. Lessons not attended by the student without giving 24 hours prior notice to the Tutor shall be charged at the full rate.
All sessions are to be completed within a 30 day time-frame in accordance with the 1st day sessions began. If sessions are cancelled on the part of the client/student (within the 24-hour policy), a makeup session must be arranged within 7 days or those missed hours will be lost.
Fees are based upon the Student’s undertaking to attend all lessons as stipulated in the schedule registered for and no discount or refunds shall be given in respect of lessons not attended by the Student.
CANCELLATION OF LESSONS BY TUTOR
In the event that the Tutor needs to cancel a lesson, they are required to provide the Client/Student with at least 24 hours prior notice. In such cases, no fees shall be charged to the student. If the lesson was prepaid, the Tutor must reschedule the appointment at a mutually agreeable time. If no agreeable time can be arranged, the Client/Student shall be refunded the missed lesson fee. All sessions must be completed within a 30-day period starting from the first day of sessions. If the Tutor cancels a session, they must arrange a makeup session within 7 days, or the missed hours will be forfeited.
The fees charged for the lessons are based on the times specified in the schedule, and no adjustments will be made for time lost due to the Student's late arrival. Students who arrive late will only receive tutoring for the remainder of the scheduled session, and the session will not be extended. If the Tutor arrives late, any lost time will be compensated for by extending the lesson with mutual agreement from the Client/Student. The extension will be for the same amount of time that was lost.
If the Student is not present at the pre-determined location at the time of the Tutor's arrival or is more than 15 minutes late, they will be considered a no-show. In such cases, the Student is still responsible for paying for the tutoring session, and no discounts or refunds will be given for lessons not attended.
In the event of inclement weather (snow, sleet, hail, flooding, tornado, hurricane, severe thunderstorm) for in-person tutoring, we will leave it up to the discretion of the Client/Student and the Tutor as to whether or not a lesson will be held. All clients have the option to use online (Zoom) tutoring as an option in lieu of cancellation due to inclement weather. Please communicate with your tutor on lesson days when there is inclement weather. The Tutor shall reschedule the appointment at a time agreeable to both parties, should lessons be cancelled due to inclement weather.
Either party may terminate or change this tutoring agreement by providing the other party with a written notice of at least ten (10) days in advance. If Isabel Diaz terminates the agreement, a refund may be given based on a pro-rated balance owed, if any. If the Student changes the registered tutoring times, the original length of the agreement will begin again.
Please note that we have a strict No Refund Policy for all of our services. Refund requests, including those made by Students who cannot attend or use our services, regardless of the reason(s) and whether the Student provides us with advance notice or not, will not be honored. If you choose to cancel a prepaid Tutoring Package after attending your first session, you will be billed for the remaining amount of the Tutoring Package price.
Exceptions to our No Refund Policy may only be made in cases where a Student is unable to attend due to serious illness or the death of an immediate family member. In such cases, official documentation may be required.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND OBLIGATIONS OF THE STUDENT
Although we strive to offer the best educational services possible, Isabel Diaz, your tutor does not guarantee a Student's performance as a direct outcome of any tutoring provided. Our responsibilities to any customer or user shall not surpass those explicitly specified herein and do not imply any implicit or explicit warranties or promises.
AGREEMENT FOR PAYMENT
Payment shall be made before the start of a tutoring session. *Must fill out the form sent by the Tutor signed and dated.
This agreement constitutes the entire understanding between the parties with regard to the subject matter thereof and the parties waive the right to rely on any alleged expressed or implied provision not contained herein. Any alteration to this agreement must be in writing and signed by both parties.
